MEOW!! It’s me again, showing up in your inbox with some weekly eye bleach.
This time, to talk about my love for forts.
In my kingdom of robes and sheets,
All my life, I loved making forts.
Wrapped in warmth, my stories told,
These forts, I love them of all sorts.
My pawrents will prop one for me at times,
A cozy den, just right.
Like a queen, I crawl in to take my rightful spot,
It’s such a delight.
But when they’re busy, it’s up to me,
Off the couch, I pull and tug.
I’ll make my own fort,
With a little shrug.
Enemies beware, don’t come near,
For I am Nezuko, the warrior.
My claws are ready,
To defend this barrier.
Like shadows, I pounce and swipe,
No one gets past my watchful eye.
Here I stay, in forts of old,
I dare you to sneak by; you can only try.
Weekly Fun Fact
We love enclosed and confined spaces. Why do you think we love boxes so much?
Don’t matter the size of the cat, we love a good box. Forts? They’re just a fancier box filled with more warmth!
What a clever poem to describe how much cats do love boxes and hidey holes, while they watch what’s going on. Wonder when, how, that behavior originated! 🤔😺
